I have several friends on facebook who are much younger than I am who I like in real life. I find myself weeding them out from my newsfeed because of their atrocious language and the things they post strictly for the shock value. If everything I see you post is offensive to me then I need to remove you from my sight. I had hopes some of them might grow up as they got older but if anything they are becoming more immature.

Fred I am one of the few people I know not on facebook. I look at it and think it's full of such tripe. My hubby is on because of his relatives in Ireland, with the 8 hour time difference, etc., it makes sense to have this connection, but me, I find it full of useless junk I really don't want to wade thru to get any good stuff. So I totally understand where you are coming from. I e-mail my friends a LOT but they don't send me useless crap!

I only use facebook to keep an eye on what my daughter posts. Some of the humour sites that she shares from can have pretty tacky material on them. I had to explain to her that there isn't a phone made that would autocorrect to an obscenity, and even if it did, it wouldn't justify her 'sharing' it as a joke.

If you feel a need to post a link to every cute thing on the internet or cute pictures dozens of times a day I will block you from my newsfeed. Just because that is crazy. Nicest lady you would ever want to meet I had to block because she lives on facebook to the point 20 posts a day was a slack day and she might have 20 in an hour.

I have my facebook to go straight to my page everytime i go there, so i check only the newsfeeds when i feel liked it, so i miss a lot. I prefer more to go to someone page and check there if i feel like been a while i wrote or said anything there..
