All footballers given time off to protect partners from John Terry
Posted By Editor On February 11, 2010 @ 11:30 am In Sports | Comments Disabled
The nation’s footballers have been given this weekend off so they can spend every waking moment protecting their loved ones, after it was announced that Chelsea captain John Terry is taking a ‘few days off’ from his own footballing duties.
Fixtures as far north as Aberdeen look set to be postponed as professionals across the British Isles stay at home to keep a watchful eye out of for the Barking lothario.
Managers have taken the reluctant step of giving their players time off after seeing the lack of focus during training sessions.
Aston Villa manager Martin O’Neil said, “The boys have been terrific, just terrific, but you can’t expect them to perform to the best of their ability when they’re constantly worrying if John Terry is at their house impregnating their wife.”
“I think it best we let them have a wee bit of time off. They can come back to training after the weekend when John Terry is safely locked up back at Chelsea’s training ground.”
Panic
One panicked premiership star who refused to be named said, “Four days? Do you know how far and wide a John Terry can spread his seed in four days? I will be forced to watch my missus like a hawk the entire time.”
Another told us, “I caught my wife on the phone earlier, speaking in hushed tones, so I panicked and smashed it against the wall. Turns out it was the mother in law. This is what John Terry has done to us.”
“Honestly, the only time we can relax is when we know he’s on his way to or from, or actually playing, a match. And Chelsea have selfishly taken that brief respite from us.”
Not everyone is disappointed by John Terry’s imminent period of freedom, with Avram Grant particularly hopeful of a phone call from his former player.
“He knows how to party, for sure. So if you’re reading this JT, give me a call, we go fucking, yes?”

And to think I used to think he was some boring footballer.

Turns out he is actually a legend! I got him more wrong than Tiger Woods.

Bridge pulls out of England duty
Manchester City defender Wayne Bridge has made himself unavailable for England selection, thereby ruling himself out of this summer's World Cup.
In a statement released by his lawyers, Bridge, 29, said his position in the national squad had become "untenable and potentially divisive".
The left-back has been in the spotlight over allegations that his ex-girlfriend had a relationship with John Terry.
England coach Fabio Capello stripped Terry of the captaincy this month.
In Bridge's statement released on Thursday, he added: "I have thought long and hard about my position in the England football team in the light of the reporting and events over the last few weeks.
"It has always been an honour to play for England. However, after careful thought I believe my position in the squad is now untenable and potentially divisive.

"Sadly therefore I feel for the sake of the team and in order to avoid what will be inevitable distractions, I have decided not to put myself forward for selection.
"I have today informed the management of this decision. I wish the team all the very best in South Africa."
With the World Cup less than four months away, Bridge's decision leaves Capello with a selection headache over England's left-back spot.
Chelsea's Ashley Cole is already sidelined with an ankle injury and is a doubt for the competition in South Africa.
England's opening match is against the United States on 12 June.
Aston Villa defenders Stephen Warnock and Nicky Shorey, Everton's Leighton Baines and Manchester City's Joleon Lescott are all possible replacements in the English defence.
In the wake of Terry's sacking, along with Ashley Cole hitting the headlines over his separation from wife Cheryl, Capello revealed he will stress the importance of team spirit and personal discipline when he talks to his players ahead of the friendly with Egypt on 3 March.
"The World Cup is really important for me, for England and for the players," he explained. "We have to stay together and compact in every moment. I think this will be my most important job - to recreate this spirit.
"We will talk about a lot of things because four months is a long time. If you can meet the players every month it is different. We will have two days to stay together but they are very strong days."

Well to be honest I don't blame him. That said Wayne bridge is a pretty shit player anyway, Leighton Baines is much better.

Not the point I know, but Warnock and Baines have both been much better than Bridge this season. I feel sorry for the guy if he can't cope with it, he has made the decision that's best for him though so good luck to the guy.

As much as I can't stand JT, I think Bridge should still continue to play for England, and just put aside any resentment for the sake of the Three Lions on the shirt

He could have been, there was a little collision between him and Tevez but the referee gave both a talking to and diffused the situation.

Oh and here is, word for word, the after match interview with Craig Bellamy.

His exact words were (courtesy of Sky+):

Jeff: (Towards Tevez) "How much of today, were Chelsea galvanised by Wayne Bridge?"

Tevez: (To Bellamy) "You speak.."

Bellamy: (about Tevez) "He speaks better English than me. Em..."

Jeff: "Be honest, Craig, going into the game, did it galvanise you at all?"

Bellamy: "I think you guys make a lot more of it, you know, em, I know what JT's like, and nothing surprises me about him, so I'm not going to comment on that guy, em, I think everyone in football knows what the guy's like, so, em, that's off the field, but on it he's an outstanding player and captain for Chelsea, so it's always going to be difficult when you play him and his team, but, em, today was a big, big result for us....."

I see Chelsea supporters were once again proving what complete cunts they are. Cheering someone who cheats on his wife, betrays his friend and fucks up the England morale yet they boo someone whos girlfriend was impregnated by his cunt of a friend yet he keeps a dignified silence and just dosen't feel like shaking the said cunt's hand.
