It's funny, normally I might not have pegged him out as someone I could see myself with, but last night we pretty much talked all night. He's sweet and I can tell he's not an asshole. He used to live in Miami, we actually went to the same High School together. I only met him on facebook a few months ago through a really good friend of mine. He lives in Tennessee now No where close to Miami, ha. He says he's moving back soon though. So to answer your question, he's special. I just don't wanna get my hopes up and then end up in another long distance relationship. :nod::willy_nilly:

My miffed up love saga continues... I'm stuck in the Bermuda Triangle of the heart. My son's father, whom I still love very much; My on and off lover for the past year and a half; and the new guy that wants me real bad but I can't be sure because he lives so far... I'm having the most difficult time getting Dean's dad out of my head. It's always there that I want to call him or text him and tell him what a piece of shit he is. Everyone says "just forget about him, he's an asshole". It's not that easy. He is an asshole I fell in love with and had a child with. Had it been any other guy who dumped me, I wouldn't care. Then I have the guy that I started seeing August 2009. It didn't bother him that I had big things going on in my life, and he wanted to be there for me. I even remember when he told me he loved me for the first time. We've been on and off trying to get things straightened out since then... Cue new guy. I don't know him, he's never seen me or heard of me before. Not someone that I'd do a double take on naturally. He's nice though, and he wants to take me out and meet my son, etc. I'm not attached. Now here comes my sometimes lover, telling me he wants me to be his girlfriend... I've wanted him to make up his mind for so long, and now that he has I want it. I don't want anyone else. He has plans, goals, drive, ambition, he's passionate, smart, the only one that can make me laugh while I'm crying, my son adores him, he adores my son. He loves me, and I know that if I stay with him, I'll be happy, Dean will be happy, and he'll take care of the both of us. You know the saying "daughters marry their fathers"? He told me last night that he wants to get to know my dad, learn from him, understand his thoughts and philosophies, etc. He is so much like my dad, personality wise, and THAT gives me even more confidence that he'll be a great husband and father. I've made my decision, now what do I tell new guy?
