well i have to say that i'm pleased with the quality of the entries and the response from everyone whos voted........well done to all

I voted #2, but it was between that and #1 to be honest, because frogs/toads are so cute. It was the sheer beauty captured and gorgeous detail in #2 that swung it in the end, plus you just don't see that every day - what a view!

Well done to you too Skyblue for coming up with the idea and putting it together. Excellent job and competition. I was a little skeptical at first before it was presented but I was pleasantly surprised all around and intrigued by the suspense of the fluent voting as it progresses.

I really look forward to the final results and the continued participation of contributors and I can see this competition as one of those that will continue to capture our interest and have longevity.

Bravo once again to you and all participants and contributors with their comments.

I was wondering what was meant by 'a knockout' too, sky. Not that I can post pics yet, but I like to see those done so far - most of them are so amazing.

first i'd need the commitment of perhaps 8 entries( it could be any amount but 8 makes it easier to explain)

they all send me an entry and what i do is put them against each other in pairs,with the winner of each pair progressing to the next stage where they will be put up against one of the other winners...this would keep going over a period of time till we have an outright winner
