Also have to admit I find it funny when and who tell others to get back on topic.

Your right this forum in particular is different. The admins and mods are so hush hush about the who, what, when, where and why. That it makes people think that there just deleting people. If there was some explaination as to why someone was banned then maybe that would help people understand. What does it matter if you let the people who want to be on this forum know why someone is gone ? If there banned it's not like there coming back. To me it make you guys look like assholes IMO. Also if you asked to get banned and make a thread about it your a moron. Period. It's the internet. Get a real life. If you actually care about reading some random person wishing you would stay your real life is in trouble.

all i will say is
no specifics but if you could say which rule was broken then folk can avoid making same mistake
i got into trouble for accidentally referring to something from vip - natasha used it as an example and it served a s a reminder

People who request to be banned haven't typically broken any rules. Usually there is a personal reason for the request. Aside from spammers, it's very rare that we actually ban members. I believe we've used the "3 strikes, you're out" rule once, maybe twice.
Oh i did not realise it was the please ban me crowd that generated the questions? Fair enough, if they did not break rules, there is nothng more to be said

Honestly, I liked the one old guy from Canada who got the boot. Yes, I would like to know why he is gone.
That said, it's not my forum, not my rules. Doesn't stop me from wondering though.
exactly!!!! These people ASKED to be banned.. IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY THEY WANTED TO BE BANNED AND YOU KNOW THEM, then go ask them. Its not my job to spread their personal business.

Yeah, one of my favorite things about my other forum is how open the moderating was. We have an "about this forum" section where people can ask questions about rules and decisions that are made. It was such a breath of fresh air from my very old forum where everything was so hush, hush that is seemed one sided and bias. Every once in a blue moon people would use it to whine about stupid crap, but for the most part it gave the mods/members a place to discuss things that were going on, explain why rules were certain ways, and get feed back and ideas from members. I think it was important in showing that everyone was treated fairly with all things.

As for people wanting to ban themselves.. I get it.. thought of it at a time myself..... And it's their business if they want to and that is. If they want to share they will if not then so be it.
