So I started back to school this semester after about 8 years. I applied for financial aid. My first semester was scheduled to be 2 classes. Both of which are refresher classes since it has been so long. Both classes total 8 credits. So I actually tested out of the second class, meaning I get those 4 credits without taking the full class. I dropped that class; however, it was too late to register another class.

So now I'm getting hit with a tuition bill of 500.00 saying because I took less then 8 credits I'm ineligable for Financial Aid.

Why do I even fucking bother.

Right now I'm in Pre-Tech Writing. I'm going for a degree in Computer Information Systems.

The class I dropped was Pre-Tech Reading..

if you are in the us
and you live on your own and make less that 50 thousand a year
bye your self
you could be married and make less than 50 yourself and still quailify
with in your first 2 years of college and i dont mean 2 actuall years
its 2 years of credit
you can claim all of your tuition in taxes
only your tuition
and they will give you all of it back in taxes
after your 2 years
you can still do the same but they only pay for a percentage of it
i dont remember the percent
for your next 2 years
and then anything after that they will still pay a percentage back
its just a very small percentage
but hey money is money and it worth it
people just dont know about it
