I tried to steer Imogen towards the MASSIVE box which was half price but she picked up a tiny little box. She said I needed the little box or else I'll get fat. Then when I was paying, she told the person behind the counter, "My mum has the little box cos she has a fat bum and tummy. Look at her tummy."
I nearly died! But what are children for if it's not to hideously embarrass you on a regular basis, eh?

I think it's just a typical 3 year old thing to do. Everyone I know with toddlers has similar stories :surrender
My mum dosen't celebrate it, she's in a funny religion but I do stuff for her throughout the whole year.
We're going to see my mum later today for dinner 
it was her birthday on Thursday and my sister's birthday yesterday, so it's a triple celebration! I already bought her a scented candle and a card, hopefully going to nab some flowers on the way, though I understand how optimistic this is!

No I haven't. I haven't even heard of them before!
Apparently they're supposed to be on a similar level to Thorntons. I've never dared to try yet though, going by the "known" quantity.

I didn't realize you have a 3 y/o kid. He must be cute. And Yup, it's that age when they're quite tactless like that! And you can't tell them off as they'll reply: "It's the truth" They're very insistent on their observations! ( one can't tell the 3 y/o to lie of course too, eh? )
