I know of what you speak. A macro lens is next on the shopping list. Instead of a Canon I will be buying one of these Tamrons... More bang for the buck as they say. Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM vs Tamron SP Autofocus 90mm f/2.8 DI Macro Lens - photo.net

Nice find, and thanks for sharing.

wow thats cool. i like the bee better (it looks clean...)

awwww look at the little bees...so cute! good shots of the flies too!

My pleasure and you are welcome.

I've know about that lens for quite a while and it's been on my must buy list for quite a while. I would have bought it sooner but I've spent about 4k on gear in the last year alone. My next purchase is a 1.4X multiplier, then the Tamron. It was recommended to me by a fellow photog friend that knows a hell of a lot more than me and also owns one. After seeing some of his shots and researching it thoroughly I know it will come before a Canon macro. Don't get me wrong as I'm a dyed in the wool canon guy but I know a good deal when I see one. It's also supposed to be a darn good portrate lens for those that like to shoot people. I don't but I know I'll find other uses for it. It's supposed to be sharp as a tack.
