It Snowed Here Last Night....

Mrs.Guyzerr wants me to shoot some b & w snow stuff. I did that way back in my slide days and got some damn nice shots. She might be on to something. She likes the snow draping off the evergreens. I know it sounds mushy but sometimes ya gotta do mush to make life pay. :24:

I drove up into the mountains in California several years ago. It was the scariest road trip I was ever on. No guardrails. Icy roads. It was in December.... but where we were staying in California in the valley .... the temps were in the 60's at the time.

Well it is a old barn after and you said you liked old things so that's why I took the shot as well as the old Hit'nMiss . That's why I used a filter and converted it from color to b + w.

They do make for nice surroundings. I recall the boredom of living in the prairies. All ya ever saw was the same old stubble fields and poplar trees.

I absolutely love driving in the mountains regardless of snow ans such on the roads. It's the bestest part of driving..... especially when I was driving the big rigs.

I have a place in my heart for barns too. I took several barn pictures over the years and had them on my kitchen walls for awhile. Packed them away when I changed the kitchen decor. Wish I had them to show here. They were awesome barn pictures. I mean the actual barns and such..... not the photographer's work.

You wood be very relaxed if you drove with me. No yelling, no screaming... just sit back and enjoy the scenery. That's what I do. Except for my first trip in a semi. It was just after I graduated from trucking school in February. I drove the Coke with two trailers and weighed 111,000 lbs. It had snowed quite a bit and one hill is especially long... very long. It's a good thing I chose the right gear going down it but even at that I think me arsehole stayed shut for about a week. I made it to the bottom safely and after that nothing scared me.
