You should think that life it's like that, and It will continue either you like or not. I mean that people grow up, and they have to do what they thing it's the best for them.
Nonetheless, you have to think that Switzerland is one of the most developed countries in the world, I would be worried if she were a journalist and she'd be covering news on Kosovo or Iraq. But, in Switzerland there's no point on worry about.
And, think that if you both have a good relationship, she'll often travel home with you

Oh don't listen to someone who doesn't know what it's like to be away from their parents for more than a couple days!
I know I'd be totally sad when my kids move away and so super excited when they come home to visit!
YAY for you! Hope you enjoy her trip home!
