i remember desert storm.......i remember saddam being on the back foot and in retreat........i remember that his way to deal with this was to fire scuds at israel hoping that they would retaliate ,getting the rest of the middle east involved....
Not to mention it is always assumed that anyone that doesn't flat out blame Isreal is crazy....It's really quite typical, and you obviously hadn't read any other posts by me in here about the subject....They are ALL to blame
well if Hezbollah had nothing to do with the attacks coming from Lebanon it will be pretty easy to figure it out because they would go in and take down those responsible. Right. I mean they are in control and well they are such a peace loving group of terrorists.
I make my opinions based on what I believe is going on, and the history in that region. I don't base it on mass media, hysterics or emotion. Nothing that I have stated indicates I know nothing about the subject.
I think you were just upset that I made a mockery out of your statement, but it was nothing personal. That's what you need to know, regardless of what the news stated, regardless of what Hezbollah stated, it's weak at best to make a military assumption based on a group that has repeatedly mis-led the media and Isreal in the past.

I thought it was the other way around. You know all of the western democracies in the world supporting Isreal. And then all the weirdo leftist governments in Latin America blaming Isreal (Along with many Arab nations)
Western democracies = Not crazy
Whacked out Latin American nations = Crazy.
At least to me anyway.
Yep, they that did really well in 2006.
Oh wait. They ended up killing over 1,000 civilians that time. And they sorta... didn't exactly win.
Wow! I base my views on the same thing. We just seem to be on the opposite sides of the spectrum
But alas, I sorta have to disagree with you there, in the other thread 'save Gaza' you discussed Hamas as 'chicken shit and needing to grow some balls' (among other things). To me, no offense, didn't seem like a rational and well-thought out comment.
Shall we agree to disagree?
I enjoy this debate, and I hope we can keep it civil. We'll find some middle ground eventually
I totally respect your views
It doesn't mean I agree with all of them, I agree with the concept that both sides have issues, and both sides really need to evaluate the part they play in the peace process, because i think essentially they both deep down gain from the unrest.
And finally.....If Isreal has no issues with killing civilians, then there shouldn't be such an outrage when Isreali civilians are killed, if they are going to say war is hell, they need to expect hell to be delivered to their doorstep as well.
That's why tit for tat never works.
But I think we are probably a little closer to the same beleifs, just wording it differently
