Some people who follow teams that have been losing for years come to see that their team winning is not as important regarding how happy it will make them when their team starts to win championships.

In defense of fans who want nothing more to win, I started watching the New England Patriots in1993. They went 5-11 that year. Then in 1996, they went 6-10, and in 2000, they went 5-11 again. So I've only suffered through three losing seasons since becoming a fan. Furthermore, as bad is it is to endure 5 or 6 win seasons, it's not quite like watching your team go 2-14, 1-15, or worse, 0-16 like poor Lions fans experienced a few seasons ago.
0-16?! I wouldn't wish that upon any team or fan! So yeah, Lions fans especially had the right to have been frustrated after that season.
But I still say don't take being a fan too seriously, like I've mentioned before.
