Is todays society creating conceited people?

Hell yes if you ask me. and im not tryin to pick on a gender but ladies, i notice it alot with you. i read this comment on youtube and it inspired me to start this thread. Now this is not a generalization so dont take offense to this if your not like this.
But there are girls out there who have their head so far up in the clouds they think their gods gift to men. I find that Attractive girls seem to be the most self-concious. They feed on the attention. and without it they would quite possibly go nuts.
you know the ones im talking about.
the ones that go to the bar every weekend.
Spend 2-3 hours getting ready before hand.
Get hit on by drunk guys (which was their plan) and if you ask me they would is one of the only reasons they go, to reassure themselves that they are hot.
its just a bad combo. this going to clubs lifestyle has created some really bad people. got anything to add?

Well i feel like these people are a disease. Since survival of the fittest is no more, some really bad people are starting to come forward. Its not right to think that because the way you look, that you are better than others. And only in and because the Club/bar scene this behavior has emerged. You can go and get your quick fix of attention, which is seriously unhealthy. Just seems like people are going to hell in a handbasket. The end is near people! haha j/k.

I play no part of conceit myself. If I run into someone who is I simply say hey you better back down off that horse for a bit. Doesn't matter if it is a guy or girl. I pay praise to no-one if they are looking for it.

oh i hear what you mean. its a thin line between confidence and conceit. Basically i try to not be scared to say something that pops into my head and try not to be shy no matter who your around. But at the same time, i dont think im better than people and i dont walk into a bar thinking im the hottest guy there. but yes, a bit of confidence is sexy and that goes for both genders.

I think most people are self absorbed and I don't think it is a good thing to be.

I think we are all guilty of it at one time or another.

It isn't pretty quality, no matter how pretty one thinks they are on the outside. Outside looks will only last so long and get you so far in life. After they are used up, what you going to do then.

I dont think I am conceited one bit. I am quick to judge someone else though and thats one of my flaws Im working on.
I have no lower back tattoos (actually I have 0 tattoos) I do love wearing flip flops but I dont wear them everywhere, and I do wear make-up but not alot at all.
My thing is, if someone doesnt like the way I look, oh well. I know there are way better looking people than myself out there and that doesnt bother me. I take care of myself so I can look presentable and thats all that matters to me

not so much anymore. I go to karaoke on saturday nights at this local dive. thats about it.
