Once the foundation of Western values, Christianity’s influence is declining. Some see this as progress toward secularism, while others believe it leads to moral decay. Has the decline of Christianity weakened Western identity? Can a society function without religious moral guidance?

It does seem like Christianity is continuing to be on a decline as the years go by. However, it's still the largest practicing religion here in the United States. As someone who isn't religious I'm not too bothered by the decline. As time goes on, more people are able to make their own choices in life as it should be, and I think back in the day more people were afraid to change because they were afraid of what their families would think of them which is why you'd see more Christians.

No, Christianity is better for all over the world. I think a society can function without religious moral guidance.

That’s a thoughtful perspective. The decline in organized religion, including Christianity, often reflects broader cultural shifts, like greater individualism, access to diverse worldviews, and less social pressure to conform. People today feel more empowered to explore spirituality or secularism on their own terms.

Many argue that the West is gradually losing its Christian roots, as church attendance declines and secular values become more dominant in public life. While Christianity once shaped laws, education, and culture, today it plays a smaller role in many Western societies. Moral frameworks are increasingly based on individual rights and personal freedoms rather than religious teachings. However, Christianity still influences holidays, traditions, and political rhetoric. Whether this shift is viewed as progress or decline depends on one's perspective but it's clear that the West is becoming more pluralistic and less tied to its Christian heritage.

I don't think so, I see the west becoming more Christian, they are even stopping people form other religions spreading in their country. A good example is they are taking Christian refugee but not Muslim refugee.
