When I was a kid, I enjoyed outing. During the weekends, holidays, and vacation, I always nagged my parents to take me somewhere. Now, I am a parent and whenever I have time and when ever my kid does not have to go to school, I want to take him somewhere but he does not want to. He wants to stay home and watch Youtube or play games. Do you think the new generation has become lazy?

I don’t think it’s about laziness. The new generation faces different pressures, distractions, and ways of working compared to older ones. What looks like “laziness” might actually be shifts in priorities, technology use, or approaches to efficiency and learning.

Sure, I agree to this. Alot of young people now are really lazy because of the different software, apps and platforms available now. They are becoming physically and mentally lazy.

It’s easy to label the new generation as lazy, but that usually misses the bigger picture. Many young people are dealing with economic pressure, unstable jobs, burnout, and digital overload. Productivity looks different today, not weaker. The real issue might be changing expectations, not declining motivation.
