I see all these commercials about children and the spreading of germs and I'm like what happened to children being children? I know when I was outside playing as a child I wasn't worried about the friggen germs around me. I mean they're everywhere...

My kid's must have great immune systems, they are never sick, and always outside.

so with you on this one. i am a self-confessed hypochondriac. you can't blame it on my parents either cause they weren't like that. they didn't freak out about germs all the time. now that im an adult, if i could wear masks and latex gloves all the time i would.

My mom says it is the fault of my grade school nurse. She said I came home from school one day and told her about how the nurse lectured our class on germs and ever since I have been paranoid about them.

Everyone is so global, more so than 10 years ago. The threat of pandemics is leading cause of concern.

I think its more of the parents being so paranoid because of the things the media get in their mind that it makes them hover over their kids... and protect their children.

nothing wrong with that but nowdays i see it myself: A kid coughs and its not just a cough... OMG its pneumonia, or bronchitis! Get him/her to the ER ASAP, get him/her some meds, etc, etc...

I don't really care too much about germs. I hardly ever get sick anyways. And I don't really care if I do get sick, it's just nature taking its course.

i have to be careful about germs. im diabetic and i get sick really easily. silentbob knows what i mean. i end up in the hospital a lot because i don't have an immune system capable of fighting off viruses
