I have to agree with both of these folks.

I think it all comes down to boundaries set by your partner and yourself. .To me I would be upset if my GF was sending pics and talking dirty with someone else..So therefore I wouldn't do it to her.

I agree with the ones who say that if you want to hide what you are texting from your partner, it's wrong. I personally don't like the dirty talk stuff. It doesn't turn me on. Show me, don't tell me ;)

I am a big flirt though, always have been.

well then, ask yourself this question to answer the question in the topic:
Would you do it in front of your spouse (like, so that they would know you're doing that), and if so, what would most likely be their reaction to seeing it?
sure, it may or may not be cheating but I don't think it's a good idea

Well... Not texting.... but PM's and emails.... but.... Yes. Yes I have and he's read some of what I've written. He shakes his head and suggests I get back to working on my novel with some of that stuff.

..... Other times he walks away with a hard on and says over his shoulder.... 'Don't be long now, okay?' :ninja

well, in that case, it's ok
It just depends on how people take it
I mean i really try not to take any positions on controversial issues, even if this is one XD
i personally don't care, so long as there's this knowledge that you won't go over the line (you both are the true sex partners, the 'true love' is there)

I truly would start questioning things a little in my mind if i seen a future wife of mine doing that, but i wouldn't put it as anything too important

Well..... Since everyone seems to agree with you.... I'll say I do too. It's definitely best to keep everything above board in a relationship. The minute's it's not.... is the minute you stop.

i personally consider it cheating because i am the type of person that i am not going to do anything that i dont want my partner to do to me or behind my back....so in my opinion it is cheating.....

In the wake of a couple of married celebs over here getting caught out exchanging raunchy messages with page 3 girls by text and on twitter, do you class that as cheating or just harmless entertainment like going to a strip club or watrching porn?
I wouldn't consider it cheating, but it is somewhat trying on my patience. Porn and strip clubs don't bother me at all - sex texting is annoying because it involves specific involvement with another person; not just objectifying them for purposes of sexual excitation.
Still, it's tolerable if I trust the person not to expand upon it.
