Governments often monitor data to prevent crime, but this can conflict with personal privacy. Should surveillance be expanded for safety, or limited to protect individual rights? Where should the balance lie?

National security is more important, but sometimes they try to create hoax of national security so that they can spy on common people or opposition

National security absolutely matters but so does online privacy. Lately I think platforms like Discord forcing users to upload IDs in order to access their platforms is an invasion of privacy and will cause more harm than good.
