Is nudity still a costume?

Do you think that if someone was to perform in just a plain black outfit that this would be a costume or not?

it depends...does the black outfit represent something that the performer is trying to get across to his audience? If someone is portraying a melancholy character or or the storyline is morbid or full of dark humor, then black is definitely a costume because its chosen to create a certain impression on the audience for its color and plainness.

I basically think that it all depends on what kind of show is being performed.
