So I get $80 a month, and I have a bank account, so I can put money in if I ever need it, and this is one of those cases. I just finished reading on the Amp'd site. They have pretty good rate plans. Don't ask me what the first price is, I have no clue.

-Unlimited Forever Overdose:
$119.00
Unlimited anytime minutes $99/month. Plus, unlimited access to over 30 Amp’d Live video channels $19/month.
18 month contract required.

-Unlimited Forever Overload:
$114.00
Unlimited anytime minutes $99/month. Plus, unlimited access to over 20 Amp’d Live video channels $15/month.
18 month contract required.

Those, being $99 a month, are the only ones I could afford. Now I'm wondering. First off, what are those $100 prices for? Activation? And also, if I do this, until I get a job, I will be spending every ounce of my money on the phone, so I can't buy stuff that I want. I'm just looking for other opinions rather than my own. On the one hand, I won't have shitty pre-paid phones and risk getting my account activated if I don't buy minutes in x amount of weeks. But on the other, I'll never see a dime of my own money until I get a job and earn extra money. Should I get the phone?

if you pay $100 a month for a cell phone then you are an idiot, especially if you only make $80/month. You better rethink your priorities.

Werd.

Get a cheap ass rate, 40 a month for 600 minutes.

your 15 there should be no reason why you need a plan that is over 100.00 a month. hell im 23 and my plan costs 65.00.

you need to see how many minutes you may need a month and find a plan that is best for the minutes you may use. i like verizon, T-mobile and cingular as providers. i hate sprint and nextel cause i cant get service in my area for them.

I just recently changed to Alltel and I got the pre-paid package. That way I am not ever going to go over my minutes. I love it and I get service in alot more places than my last sprint service

i think sprint has something for like $29 for 200 min then $5 to add 50 min if you go over, free phone w/text messaging.

I wouldn't be able to tell you how many minutes I might need a month. I never stay constant. I would assume..........300 would be just fine for me. I also hate Nextel, it has bad reception out here. But I went out and got a Boost pre-paid a few months ago. Who's doing this $40 for 600 minutes James? I'd totally do that deal. And the Sprint one sounds nice too.
