Yes, but it's so rare that there have been like 30 people ever who've been diagnosed with it.

I work as a commercial sales assistant for a water purification company and while its not possible to be allergic to water it is possible to be allergic to something contained within the water. There is so much crap in the water we drink that you wouldnt even begin to be able to explain it.
Up side is there are ways to fix it.... costly but doable.

Didn't know this? Water is all I drink :(

I wouldnt be over concerned, Because you have drank it all your life your body has built an immunity to the nasties that may appear in it. Buying a water system will of course improve the quality however, if you dont replace the filters when needed then you were better off drinking non filtered water... make sense?

A tip for you too, bottled water is way worse for you that tap water.... the posins in the plastic bottle alone are shocking, they may not be immenent but if the bottle ever gets a chance to heat and expand the posins will leak into the water and then you drink it.... its not good

There is a whole lot of bullshit out there about water

As a result a lot of expensive and very unnecessary legislation has been passed to deal with non existent manufactured problems

I could go on and on but won't bother everybody by boring them. Just remember that one has to drink a ton of water over a long time to be affected by most things.

Now that has to do with things like arsenic or certain non biologic things in the water. It is a whole other matter when the contaminant is something like e-coli or cryptosporidium.

As Keight said if you have a filter you need to change it on a regular basis. At a minimum once a year for standard sediment or carbon filters. At some point the filter will be so loaded with stuff the water quality is far worse than raw water if left unattended. If you have an RO filter you need to keep an eye on the status of the membrane. They can last as little as a year or for 3 years or so depending up the water and the type of filter.

That will be the end of todays lesson. There will be no test.

Drink safe :D
