Then why are you even here and contributing nothing?

You asked the question in your thread title yes?
You may not like the responses you receive as you want to argue with your false premise.
This would be along the lines of me saying. ..why are dog horns not sharp...but when pointed out that dogs do not have horns...I would continue my arguement that they have horns...ignoring all facts that dogs do not have horns.

That's often the basis for snake dude's hate threads.
At least he gave up on arguing that children should be allowed access to addictive drugs for recreation, by prescription. ( WTF! :D )

GIA...In another thread you speak of multiple jesus's
In your thread here is there more than one god as well?...you also speak of Jesus as a god
Before we can actually debate this we have to agree on how many gods and jesus's there are.
What is your definition of God. ...and who you believe Jesus to be?

Sounds reasonable.
BUT!
This is where it gets complicated.
GIA ( snake dude ) has claimed apotheosis,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apotheosis
In theology, the term apotheosis refers to the idea that an individual has been raised to godlike stature.

So, what ever he posts, if he doesn't include himself, it's n+1..........:D

Looks like Jerry Springer material to me.

Ahh yes I had forgot he had had reached his achievement.....Hopefully I will not feel his wrath for my failing to worship him:D

There is nothing that proves that Jesus ever lived ......................

Just pointing out that you are incorrect on this claim.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historicity_of_Jesus
excerpt:
Virtually all modern scholars of antiquity agree that Jesus existed, and most biblical scholars and classical historians see the theories of his non-existence as effectively refuted.[1][2][3][8][9][10] In antiquity, the existence of Jesus was never denied by those who opposed Christianity.

http://www.offtopicz.net/threads/be...is-you-lie-when-saying-that-god-exists.46826/
excerpt:
I have this pet peeve that says that I never lie. I do not do this for any altruistic reason. I do it because I am somewhat of an absent minded professor and have this fear of being caught in a lie or in saying something that I cannot prove.

Well, 'professor', you really screwed up on that claim
Begs the question: what else have you screwed up?

He also claims God murdered Jesus...but if Jesus didn't exist ...how could he murder him.
Snake dude will post anything as an effort to support his argument.

As an esoteric character he lives in all of us.
To think him real though, even he would find foolish afterwhat he himself says.
If you seek enlightenment instead of blind obedience thenlisten and learn.

I'm not a Christian so I don't believe he lives in me.

The God's I revere, they don't live in me. My ancestors on the other hands, they do.

Is it egotistical to think that a God would die for you?

People who believe in the barbaric human blood sacrifice of theTriune Jesus/God must believe that the greatest force ever to exist decidedthat humans, lowly creations whom we aretold are infinitely inferior to God, are somehow more important than God’s ownlife and that he would give it up for believers.

That is like a slave master dying in place of his slave. A rather silly notion to me.

Jesus preached that we should develop a humble characterwith little self-pride.

How is placing your own life above Triune Jesus/God’sshowing a humble character as you think that he would die for you? That istaking self-pride to the maximum.

I think that those with good morals will know that no nobleand gracious God would demand the sacrifice of a so called son just to proveit's benevolence.

Yet Christians who think they are moral will believe thatGod would do such a despicable thing as having his son killed even asscriptures say that God prefers repentance to sacrifice and does not believe inasking or accepting a ransom.

Is thinking that to believe that God would die for you theepitome of an inflated ego?

If not, what could possibly inflate an ego more than that?

I don’t know if it’s egotistical, I just think that it doesn't make any sense since Christianity is one of the few religions that the almighty God sent his son down to die for us, most other religions practice on the premise that the almighty God of their religion sent a son or a prophet down to help us, but these individuals didn't die for us. They just tried to benefit humanity, or take a side in a war, like in the Iliad. It may be egotistical to believe that we are that important, but I’m kind of unsure how to answer that one. I just don’t think it makes sense that God would send down another God, his son, to die for all of us stupid, foolish, selfish, mortals who don’t deserve it anyway.
