Believe me, I was young when I got married and we had to grow up together... It has taken ALOT of work for our marriage to last so far.

In high school, if you're sixteen or older, you can get married with your parents consent.

But that is waaaaaaay too soon. I can't even imagine what my life would be like if I married my high school boyfriend. Holy crap, I think we'd have shot each other.

Why would you want to get married in high school? There's only a few people that were in relationships in high school that I thought would have a chance at lasting. I don't think any did.

I dropped out of school and married joe at 17. I made two mistakes at once. I should of waited and I should of NEVER dropped out of school. Luckily, me and Joe mesh well, but there are still times where I want to KILL HIM! (not really, just punch the hell out of him)

I wouldnt do it. You still have so many things to experience and go thru before you tie yourself down. I got married at 19 and I still thought it was too soon. Sometimes I wish that I could go back and change a few things and one thing would be to wise up and wait before I got married. I should have waited until I graduated college but didnt and getting married made it so hard to go back to college.

Getting married before you can take care of yourself in the real world is a huge mistake.

I personally don't think people should be allowed to get married (or have kids) until they are over the age of 26.....Just my opinion.

However, having said that...I do know some people who were married very young and are still together. Happy?? Not so sure, but still together in their 30's.

I think a lot depends on the person but in general someone at school isn't mature enough to handle marriage, hell, I'm 31 and find it hard to cope with at times! What is the big rush anyway? Why can't you just go out together and have fun for a few years first? Isn't there still things that you'd like to do first?
