As states adopt digital IDs, smart policing, and AI monitoring, citizens gain convenience but lose autonomy. Does digital governance enhance democracy or transform it into data-driven authoritarianism? Can freedom coexist with algorithmic management of civic life?

I feel digital governance can threaten human freedom if it becomes overly controlling or opaque. I think monitoring, algorithmic decisions, and data regulation can limit choice and privacy.

You never know who comes to the government and start spying on you. So, yes, it is a threat

I believe it's a threat to our freedoms. As long as you're not actively harming another person, you should be able to say what you want online or access websites without the need for government interference.
