Food delivery, single-use packaging, and instant services save time but increase waste and emissions. Has convenience become a habit we’re unwilling to question? What trade-offs are people actually willing to make for sustainability?

Yes, in many ways it is. Convenience culture prioritizes speed and ease over long-term impact, which leads to more waste, overconsumption, and disposable habits. While green options exist, they often lose out to whatever is fastest or cheapest. Real environmental progress usually requires small inconveniences people aren’t always willing to accept.

I ordered food last night because i was tired. All the nylon and plastic that came with it was wild. They are just too much. So, convenience has spoiled us, no doubt, but when you come back from work at 9pm, you won’t be thinking of the environment first. You just want to satisfy your hunger first.

I believe convenience culture is undermining environmental progress. These days a lot of people only care about their own comfort and their pwn living standard.
