We just finished remodeling a bathroom. Today I'm getting out of the shower and notice some water on the floor. So I bend down to check it out and I find a crack in the ledge of the jacuzzi tub and water also leaking from under the 'doors' and between the ledge. The tub is acrylic so I have no idea if this can be fixed yet and am quite upset. Does anyone know if the acrylic can be fixed? Who would I call? I am feeling really irritated right now considering all the money we've spent, how long this has taken, to finding this out, and not really having the funds to 'fix' it right now. I feel like screaming at the moment.

Do you have any kind of warrenty with the people who installed it? Was it installed recently? If so give the person a call who installed it and make them come out and fix it! :)

Acrylic tubs can be fixed. Call a local plumber and they should be able refer you to one.
Working in the building industry, I have come across two of these guys and that's all they do. They can fix chips in porcelain and repair acrylic. They color match the product and buff it out. The repair will be invisible and it's relatively cheap.

God Bless. This is good news. Thanks so much Tim.

We installed pretty much everything ourselves, so no one to call on a warranty, but I appreciate your response.

Ah, that's such a shame that it's happened. Hope you get it fixed soon. If I had a really nice bathroom, I would be as irritated too - they are not cheap, even doing it yourself - good luck. Do you live near Tim and Alice? Maybe one of those people he mentioned could come and fix it for you?

My six year old says we should put duct tape on it. LOL!

Since yesterday we've had a water pipe explode and flood the front yard. My Hoover that cleans tile floors and grout broke. The surround sound DVD player isn't working.

I'm still irritated.

You are having it tough right now - a good friend of mine and hher family have exactly the same bad luck. Their electrics are always conking out.

Hope things get sorted very soon - that is so cruel, with all that going on.

Had to laugh and smile with what yr daughter said though - aren't they always good to cheer us up, our kids! :)

Yes they are they say the funniest things at times.

My six yr old is a boy, not that it matters. But he really makes me laugh with some of the things he comes up with.
