For you parents out there...
I'm the most level headed guy you'll ever meet. I'm not afraid of the dark, scary movies don't bug me, and when things go south at work, I'm the one who keeps on keep'en on...
Now I have a kid at home....
I can't even explain it, I was watching a safety video of some people who teach infants to swim, and I started feeling all panicky (sp?). It wasn't to the point where I was hyperventilating or anything, it was just a crazy tightness in my chest I'm not used to having. I actually made up an excuse to leave the room because I didn't want to watch it anymore. Sometimes I'll have a ... 'bad dream' (I guess you would call it) and I'll have to get up in the middle of the night just to go make sure he's still breathing. ... WTF?!! Little dude is ruining me. haha
Is this a normal first time parent thing? How long does it last?
