I was taking care of the baby, sheesh!

I voted no. I like the caucus idea better than the primaries personally. I like the fact you can vote for any party, instead of just the one you're registered as.

Cool, but.....Iowa is 95% caucasian, basically still a farming community. Is it fair to be told that they are any more politically up to speed as the rest of us?
Is it fair to assume they aren't? :p

I by no means think they should be representative of the rest of our nation, but they should get a say in who gets the nomination like the rest of our states. I do think all the hype they get isn't necessarily warranted, but not much we can do about that...

Well cool, I appreciate and basically agree with your argument. I always enjoy that you never back down from an opportunity to share your viewpoint Donny, always a pleasure:)

I think that you have to look at the demographics deeper than skin color. Look at income ranges. Farmers tend to vote Democrat since they get most of their subsidies from that party's agenda. Businessmen/women tend to vote republican since white collar jobs usually expand when the republicans are in power. There are actually more people claiming to be white-collar workers in Iowa than blue collar/farmers nowadays.
