I simply don't particularly understand how not being a liberal or a member of the Democratic party or not voting for Obama makes one a "traitor". Is this a form of racism from within?

Apparently there are blacks out there who feel that conservative blacks, based on the history of blacks, are traitors to their race. That's prejudice, something along the lines of a white helping blacks, being called a n***** lover.
