I sometimes stop and think about loading times. I have a lot of memories of being a teenager when my dad worked for a telecom company, and he built all the computers in the house. When we first got dial-up, it was only switched on at the weekends.
And even when it became an everyday thing, there were still times when you had to switch it off and on again, and wait for it to pick up... I remember waiting for a webcomic to load and each panel was taking a whole minute.
But that was
normal. If that happened now, I'd be on the phone to my service provider asking if there was an issue

I think things are so fast now, we don't appreciate that it's all relatively new. Not so long ago the idea of watching a movie online was laughable, unless you wanted to leave it buffering half a day first. Now, it's just expected.
