Whatcha think of this? I don't claim to know if these statistics are from valid samples or presented honestly, but I think there is merit in the findings based on just common sense.

Frankly it scares me how we're getting. I'm impatient too.

society is in a rush and when posed with a networking delay or anything holding them up they give up. even when people are at the airport they expect to be at their next destination as soon as they come into the building. you would think with downtime they would put away their laptops, cell phones, etc but it seems that they use them more! even just a general conversation is done around a tablet, monitor, etc. and they still use their toys when waiting in line because their need for missing a conversation, text, email, call. I ask them kindly to not use their "toys" while in my line....am I wrong in asking this?

Am I the only person left in the world who just uses their mobile phone to phone and text people?

I sometimes stop and think about loading times. I have a lot of memories of being a teenager when my dad worked for a telecom company, and he built all the computers in the house. When we first got dial-up, it was only switched on at the weekends.

And even when it became an everyday thing, there were still times when you had to switch it off and on again, and wait for it to pick up... I remember waiting for a webcomic to load and each panel was taking a whole minute.

But that was normal. If that happened now, I'd be on the phone to my service provider asking if there was an issue :p I think things are so fast now, we don't appreciate that it's all relatively new. Not so long ago the idea of watching a movie online was laughable, unless you wanted to leave it buffering half a day first. Now, it's just expected.

I don't enjoy using mobile web at all, and I rarely do. Only if I need to search something and have no PC near me. I use my iPhone for emails, Skype calls, utility/entertainment apps, and Pandora.

But I'll admit, if I don't know something, I google.
If something is slow, I give up.
But I typically wait in line however long it takes and I'm never rude about wait times.

Haha yep, it's true!
I still would enjoy movie theaters now and again, and I don't enjoy watching movies on tiny laptop screens if I can avoid it.

I don't believe the "25% of mobile web users browse only on their phone"... who has a smart phone, but not a computer? And of that very small number of people, who has a computer but never uses the Web on it?

I got lucky on this - we have 46" screen and our main computer is hooked up to it, so anything we download we can watch directly on the TV :D

Mainly I use my laptop, but I'm used to it now.

Oh, and I totally love TVs nowadays. I just store movies on a USB drive, stick it in the TV, and play. It's the smallest & easiest way to store & view a portable media library.

Ugh I HATE web browsing on my phone... But I do use it when I'm "waiting." I use it when I go pick up togo food at lunch and wait at the bar for it to be ready, I do it inline at the bank, etc. I don't really understandwhat's rude about that anway... I don't do it while I'm talking to someone, only when I'm standing there with nothing to do. Just makes the time go by faster so I don't get impatient about waiting.

Just so you know other than my net usage and purchases wages and taxes
these polls are shit
for example there is no way the last three could be right
it was a small or non existent poll
I wasn't asked

I'm sure it is true about the impatience
I am one of very very very few patient people I know
Its my patients that lets me pay better attention to details

I see people at my office get impatient with software and computers and it cracks me up
lol

I'm sure that are social issues in other countries different but issues

I can almost always tell when someone is lying to me if I can see their face
except Obama he is really good at it hhahahahh
