I am so fired up I could spit fire right now!!!
I left WalMart and went to put the groceries in my vehicle when I noticed that someone had hit the Durango!!!
It looked like it might have been a bigger vehicle cause it hit up high and knocked out the taillight and even hit the back tire.
I called WalMart when I got home and talked to the guy in Loss Prevention and he said he would review the tapes but said that the shots in the parking lot are not all that great. He said if he sees something then he will turn the tape into the police dept. I sure hope to God that he sees something cause if not, its gonna cost a buttload to have the car fixed!
I asked him if I could look over the tapes and he said that he cant do that.

And today had been such an awesome day and then boom! Takes something like that to totally ruin your day. Ooooh I am pissed off right now!!!

i think you should be able to look at the tapes... :wtf

Yeah! Thats what I thought. Probably has to do with legal matters or something that maybe people who are not employess cant look at. :dunno Hell, I dunno either.

based off of a security risk if you had the ability to look at the depts or parking lot with the stores cameras...could lead to theft or other legal problems....

but not to help the situation....i kinda had a situation like that with my old bronco...i tried parking against the grain and left a dent about 3 inches in on the drivers side door panel....i didn't even feel touching the car but before i even got half way in my mom in her car in front of me is waving for me to stop....we ended up parking on the other side of the parking lot to get our subway sandwiches

It is legal matters against letting YOU view the tape- BUT, they should turn over the tape and let the police view it. If I were you, I would contact the detective for the case and make sure he knows that walmart has a tape, then he can get a copy and view it.

I feel ya Amy. I have at the minimum 12 different door dings that I had to paint over on my driver side. One is actually rusting right now and the other is RIGHT on the body line just below the window.

I'm kinda pissed, and I can't even drive a car yet. They could'a left a number so they could [pay for at least half the damage.

That sucks!!! BTW.. I honked at you guys when you were leaving Wal Mart. I was in the Freightliner.
I guess I was lucky when that chick hit my Camaro in Hot Springs. She went to the front desk of the mini golf course and they all waited until I came through. We swapped info and that was it. I got my check from the ins company. IF it was a big truck, they probly didn't feel it. I commited a felony hit and run between me and a Fed-Ex van. I didn't feel a thing or hear anything. But I was caught up with by a local sheriff. I saw the van and it did quite a bit of damage. Blew out some windows.. the mirror was in the street.. etc etc etc. Anyway.. I forgot what I was saying. :tard

Why the bloody hell did you call Wal-Mart first? You should have called the police department when you first saw the damage. They would have taken pictures and asked if anyone saw anything, and would obtain copies of the tapes in order to go forward with the investigation.

ALWAYS call the cops to report something. ALWAYS.

Geez, that really sucks ass. I'm not that good of a driver just yet, but I am pretty careful (although I do tend to speed a bit :D). Besides, my 14-year old little Nissan Sentra ain't much to brag about anyway. In your case, anyone would be royally pissed off!!!

I hope it all works out for ya :gears

They would'a done all of that because of her car? I thought they only handled the big stuff. Didn't you need a lawyer to that for you, not the police? What crime would that be? A driveby, cause they left without saying anything?
Help me out here, because I know nothing.

leaving the scene of an accident is a serious offense. Plus it would all be on record as to what happened and some dime store rent-a-cop wouldn't be the one handling the issue.

Not to mention big bucks for the lawyer that wins the case (also experience and reputation).
