I can't speculate. Things were a lot different. If he showed up today for the first time, would I follow him? No.

I prefer to be a leader.

Nope. I would see him the same way I see anyone today who claims themselves to be some sort of savior.

I think people are seeing the history and saying..no, he got crucified and damn, I wouldn't want to get crucified! how do you think the apostles were founded? Do you think Jesus came to men and asked them to follow him? I am pretty sure there is no history on how this came to be.

The bible Jesus is a fictional character. But if there was someone today who could really raise the dead, walk on water, control the weather, feed the world with a couple loaves of bread, etc. then yes, I would follow him if this person also had good moral character. That's one thing the bible Jesus didn't have.

It's hard to know, really. I'm agnostic and I choose not to follow any particular religion. I do believe in a higher power, and I pray to the God I was raised to believe in, but am I positive that there is even anything/anyone really out there? No. I guess it would be different if I was there to witness it all in the flesh.

There are plenty of scholars out there who would dismiss your statement, and no they are not religiously inclined, they study scripture everyday, unlike Zorak, Peter Parka and EdGray who have only studied the bits they can't understand

If I saw proof first hand then id be inclined to believe. If all I saw were cheap parlor tricks id call it as I see it

Why does this have to turn into a name slinging battle? Just state your opinion and move on. No need to act like a ten year old.

Name slinging battle? Who is doing that?

Uh... You.

"There are plenty of scholars out there who would dismiss your statement, and no they are not religiously inclined, they study scripture everyday, unlike Zorak, Peter Parka and EdGray who have only studied the bits they can't understand "

Is that really necessary?

Yeah, but that isn't a name slinging battle, that would incur an infraction wouldn't it?
