Grandma has been moved to a nursing home for hopefully 100 days for them to build up her strength so that she can have the surgery.

My Dad didn't sound as stubborn when I talked to him on the phone yesterday. Sounds like the wall may be coming down a bit.

No word on my niece. I pray she doesn't go and get pregnant. She won't answer her cell phone. Service has now been cut off per my brother's doing. The girl is spoiled and is going to get a rude awakening.

I'm not sure cutting off the only way of communication with her is the best solution .. should she get herself in a pickle .. she now has no way to call for help now. That could just drive her further away .. if she left she must be feeling like she either isn't needed or wanted, or perhaps both. That might just confirm it for her :worried look:

She's 20. Trust me on this - the girl knows she is totally loved, needed, wanted, etc.

She is spoiled and she is being selfish. She wants to do what she wants to do when she wants to do it. She thinks she is ready to 'be an adult' and 'make it' on her own. Her actions have proven she is nowhere near 'adult material' regardless of her age. She's about to get a rude awakening. I just pray that she doesn't go and totally screw up her life in order for her to learn this lesson. But her parents can't keep saving her. She is being willfully stupid/blind.

My grandmother is in the hospital as well now, and I know she won't make it out, so I can feel what kind of emotions you are feeling now Grace. I hope all works out well for you.

Be happy to offer up some prayer for you and yours Ron. Even if you don't think anything of it it, Grandma might get some comfort out of the idea that your friends are praying for her. Worst case it'll make her feel a bit more special....

My niece has been located and spoken with. She is staying with a guy that is a 'poet' that is getting ready to get kicked out of the military that she previously took a restraining order out on. Lovely huh? Needless to say she is still behaving like a spoiled brat.

Everything is okay for the moment....more tests coming, but she seems to be doing alright for now....she's very tired and her speech is slurred, but she's okay. Thanks for everyone's prayers....
