Currently, immortality would be a disaster. We can't even support the mere 6 billion people that live on earth today, how the hell are we going to sustain a world where nobody dies? But who knows what 20 years will bring..

Thats probably due to the fact that they already secretly succeeded and the military has tons of uses for it lol...

i don't wanna live forever, if you choose to live forever then after 900 years old you become, wouldn't you be bored as hell? ANd what if you change your mind and you can't kill yourself? Honestly, i think it would suck.

i'm only sad because i want to be here when they make new scientific discoveries like when they found out your appendix is needed, or when they declared pluto wasn't a planet

i need to stick around for these life altering discoveries...

While having a longer life span would be excellent immortality seems like a pipe dream.
Well the expected life span for kid these days is about 100+ if I am not mistaken? When a few decades ago it was 60-80...
