I haven't notices any other Chinese here but there are loads of members from all different countries. I'm from England and as well as the US members I've noticed people from Canada, Australia and Spain. I'm sure you'll fit right in whatever country you're from.:)

I think we can all learn thing from other countries cultures, it makes us more intelligent and understanding if we do that rather than being biggoted and racist like some narrow minded people.:)

From what I understand, China is a great place to shop! :D

My boyfriend and I are probably going to be spending a few weeks in China, as we're contemplating adopting a little girl from there in a few years. Chinese culture seems very rich and interesting. Although it isn't going to be for probably two years at least, I'm still very excited about going.

I realy don't know a lot about China, never been there. I know it's a Communist coutry, has a bit of an overcrowding problem and I've just heard that they are now going to relax the death penalty slightly. I don't really know anything much about your culture though. What festivals, holidays do you celebrate?

A great palace for shopping ? yeah, it's in Hongkong...
And in Chinese culture, what impacts me most is to be polite.
To be polite is always emphysised in families, schools and the society.
and it is ironic that a well-educated Chinese will argue with another in a very "peaceful" way...which seems really peaceful but ...

I like the sound of the politeness, people in England can be quite rude at times, especially in arguments, its worse when I pop over to France though, most people over there seem to be permenantly rude though its just their culture I guess.:)

they're so good. :)
en...in Dumplings there may be many kinds of food...
almost all kinds of vegetables and meats, if you really want to eat.
And in my memory, many kinds of food which is only in China are all called Dumplings.
And there is also a legend about the origin of Dumplings.

I remember reading somewhere that there was only one time zone & it was set for Peking which meant that the rest of China was totally out of sync with sunrise & sunset, but maybe the modern age has caught up & now that China has entered the world stage, she has adopted different time zones.

China has been going through one hell of a modernisation phase during the past 10 - 15 years & with the natural wealth, diversity of people, tenacity & drive of the current regime (even if a little harsh at times), China is fast becoming a major leader.

do you practise wu shu?
en...it is a big problem...
Wu Shu is not so widely practised in China...
and ... I think Wu Shu is not as what you think in your mind.
The really Wu Shu doesn't look like what in the movie
Generally speaking, except some particular people whose job is to attend the Wu Shu compition, there're only the old practise Wu Shu. And to practise it is only for the health~
