Well, her family has a lake house that she loves to go to on the weekends. So I left work early and got the key from her parents. I went there and sat the table, put flowers out, and just dolled it up a bit. I told her I was going to take her there and cook her dinner for her birthday, which was yesterday. Well she didn't know I had already been there and decorated, so she was suprised by that. But anyway, I cooked her dinner, we drank some wine, did that whole thing. Then we went for a walk down by the water. We walked out on a cove, where it was just beautiful, and stopped and talked for a while. We sat down on some rocks next to the water and started talking about life, where I ultimately led the conversation right into my proposal. She was very suprised and loved everything, which is all that really matters. But anyway, it was a good time and the place I asked her meant a lot to her. It turned out good.
