Sequels I'm OK with if theres a story to continue. I liked Final Destination 2, but I thought 3 was weak. But a movie like Independence Day for example should never get one because really whats left? I really liked Saw and 2 was ok but 3 didnt do it for me.

And I hate how some people say that people only make sequels for money. SAW doesn't do that. James, Leigh, and Darren all stated that they are only gonna keep the movies coming as long as we like them, and they can keep giving us good stories that make sense.

How about the third Elvis movie? Did that suck? Elvis made like, 8 movies didn't he?

umm Elvis' movies weren't one story line..more like he starred in 8 or so movies, but they weren't the same cast of characters or anything like that.

I dont know much about Elvis, but remember its a business first. Entertainment is great but everyone is in it for the money. I really dont care how many Saw films they make as long as they keep the budget right and turn out a good product, but one a year seems a bit much and the second 2 did seem rushed to me.

But see, you haven't been on HOJ, they(The crew members) base these movies almost 95% solely on what we ask to see. The did the first movie by themselves, and then paid attention to us. Hell, half the traps from SAW III were traps created by members on the boards. My friend Stefanee created the trap that inspired the Body Chains.

sounds like they ran out of ideas and that's why they let the fans pick...

Actually, they've already got SAW 5 and SAW 6 planned out and they are almost done being written. They just feel like since us fans are the ones that pay to see it and are the ones that are paying their bills basically, it's a cool thing to do, they go on the boards and read our ideas, try to incorporate them into the film. And Maulds, I'm fairly certain that SAW IV will change your mind :D

The third Indiana Jones movie was better than the second one.

And Elvis has over 33 movies. I have them all and I think most of them are entertaining in a light-hearted, escapism sort of way.

And I'm afraid the new Indy movie will do for that franchise what the prequel trilogy did for Star Wars...stink it up. But word is the new Die Hard is really good so there is hope Indy can be good too.

How do you figure? The idea was to always write a prequel to Star Wars. I thought they were fine, the special effects were 2000 times better. Granted, there were several parts in all 3 I hated, but come on, could you see a puppet Yoda doing his thing? That made all three movies for me when Yoda kicked ass.
