I was recently viewing some photos from the new Rob Zombie remake of Halloween, and he has ruined this movie. The mask looks more like Leatherface, it's supposed to be plain white. Also, they show a full view of his face. Only 3 times out of all 9 or 10 movies did they EVER show Michael's face, and it was from a bad angle so you could barely see him. And lastly, they made his hair way too long. It's supposed to be about 7 inches above his shoulders, maybe shorter.

They show his face 3 times in this movie. Rob Zombie has definately fucked up the franchise.

And you gave me shit before because I was dissing re-makes. This movie was totally un-necessary and I dont see any right way to do it.

Sure, hate all you want its all good. You have to admit though if they didnt change some things like that then why even bother doing a remake anyway? I'll still watch it on dvd eventually and maybe it'll surprise me. And I'm totally chilled :cool

A remake is usually a movie that makes the movie better. They tend to keep most of the stuff the same, just refilm it using today's technology and better acting, etc. The Hitcher was remade, and using dummies and special effects, they showed us what they couldn't last time, Jim getting ripped apart by the truck. In The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, they kept the same basic storyline, and mask, just a bit different. The only difference in that one and the old one is the OLD Texas Chainsaw Massacre is more like The TexasChainsaw Massacre: The Begginning, and the OLD Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 is more like the remake Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

This movie, they're not only remaking the movie, which is a touchy subject these days, but they change the mask, characters the abilities of the killer, and the killer himself! Rob Zombie is a fuck-up. He said he cut out Michael driving a car because he supposedly never learned from being locked away his whole life, but OBVIOIUSLY Rob never watched the whole Halloween series.

From Halloween 6:

Wynn is revealed to be Michael's guardian and he has an obligation to protect Michael at any cost, which is why he released Michael from his prison cell in the previous movie. This also hints that Wynn is the one who released Michael from Smith's Grove in the first film and was the one who taught him how to drive.

If Rob really was a fan of the series, he'd have known this. I just really thing Rob basically fucked up this movie. Whereas the original series only showed his face 3 times in a span of 43 years, this movie goes and shows his face 3 times in only a 2 HOUR MOVIE.

Wow, your tough. Most people won't even remember half the shit your spewing here because most of us don't dissect every scene. Rob Zombie is pure genius. I bet this movie is 10 times better than the original ever could have been. I grew up in the time when these movies first came out and I can assure you, everyone of them could sure use a facelift. I don't care if they change things around, then it keeps me from just seeing the same crap I watched back in the 70s-80s. Give the guy a break and wait for the finished product.

I was entertained. I also liked the follow up to this movie - The Devil's Rejects. Call me sick. I like blood and gore.

I did my research before posting, thank you. And the remake is going to suck. Zombie should be taken out back and shot Ol' Yeller style.

Rob Zombie is a good film maker in my opinion.

And to say that EVERY remake is supposed to be better, is just stupid b/c their not all that great.

I dont like remakes of movies or songs. Just trying to milk some more cash out of someone elses original work sucks, and they always disappoint.

i could say the same thing with most sequels...if they say they're coming out with a third...don't bother to go b/c it's a waste of money
