i'm just wondering if the young people realize how mush of an affect illegal immigrants willHAVE/haveHAD on their lives, just look at the problems we have right now , adding more to the population will only make thing worse, whos going to pay YOU.

For one, it annoys the crud outta me when they come over here and dont even attempt to learn our language but want us to understand what the heck they are saying. They come over here and get medicaid and food stamps (that we Americans end up paying with our taxes anyways) I could go on forever.

Then on the other hand, I can understand why parents would want a better life for their children so they come over here.

You just have to consider the facts that this country was originally created BY IMMIGRANTS. The indegenous people that originally inhabited this land were the Aztecs (and Asians), now known as Native Americans but at the time - this was not the US of A. It was just people living and minding their own business. Then the Europeans came.

if the ones that are here now are given amnesty and then bring all the rest of the family over legaly we're talking 30 mil people , what do you think you're vote will be worth then, and thats only the tip of the iceberg, i already have friends that have gone out of buisness bacause illegals one of those jobs that we are told no one wants,he was making 75k a year landscaping but in the end he coulden't compeat with people that don't pay taxes, amnesty did not work back in 86 why would you think it would work now, everything will chang and not for the good like longer lines in em rooms like you don't have to wait long enough to see a doctor now,hospitals have already gone out of buisness because of illegals, Texes is paying 4 bil a year now just for illegals in their schools , and look at what their doing today do you think it will stop there even if they get what they want, i think not, we will all pay , say goodby to America as you know it , make no bones about it we are being invaded and the Mexican govn is backing it big time,,,,,,,, i'm sorry if i seem to be coming down hard on this but i care about our future and the future of my grandkids , i have no problem with legal immigration , one last thing we have friends from Europe that wanted to visit us for 2 weeks but were denied a visa because our govn was afraid they wouldn't go back un-fucking-real. :dunno

it would be nice if our parents could have stayed where they were , but they didn't and now all of us have our roots here and i'm not willing to give up we have with out a fight,alot of our blood went into making the USA what it is today, Americans legal immigrants , if it was left to Mexico where would it be and where would they go maybe Canada. :dunno

This subject is one of my worst pet peeves. Have any of you noticed now that alot of products like at grocery stores now have them in spanish? Like for example, the other day I noticed there was laundry detergent in Spanish and even some popsicles. I think thats wrong. We speak English here not Spanish so why is alot of our products being put in Spanish?

At work in the ER, we get ALOT of mexicans that come in and about 95% of them dont speak any english, dont have a social security # and we now have "language phones" we have to use to try to understand why the hell they came to the ER cause they cant tell us cause they cant speak english! My question.........why the hell come to a country to live if you cant speak the freakin language but expect us americans to try to understand what the hell they are saying? :engmofo

illegal immigrants have been in this country for years , even when my parents were younger but it was never an issue until more recently when the government is bending backwards for them (ie letting reap education and medical benefits and letting them have drivers licenses)

my fathers side of the family came over here legally and have integrated themselves well, and in ca (where i am from) there is a large population of illgals, what annoys me are the ones that talk like they know all about illegal immigration and they are from butt fuck indiana and probably have never seen a hispanic person their whole life and just use the illegal immigration problem as a way to express racism towards mexicans

on the other side of the spectrum there are alot of jobs that illegals do that alot of people wont touch (ie picking strawberries) some people rather sit at home and collect welfare money than do these jobs even if they were available to them

i am against illegal immigration but i have no problem with people wanting to come here to better thier life as long as they have a temporary work permit/visa or have full on citizenship, the problem isnt immigrants, the problem is not having a way to track the money that is being given to them and the money that is leaving this country

as far as language, what you do in your own life doesnt bother me, if you speak spanish on the street i have no problem, i probably didnt want to hear your personal conversation anyway, the language barrier only becomes a problem in business/education. I dont even care if you speak fluent english unless you are are making an effort to learn english and communicating without expecting people to conform to your needs.

But there will always be a large concentration of mexicans in places like california, the place was inhabitated by mexicans prior to americans coming there. I do not expect a big change in mexican population to occur there, The towns where I lived still go by mexican names...modesto, merced, los banos, dos palos...etc.

when it comes down to it i dont blame illegals one bit, i blame the government, they had control to not let illegals get medical benefits or enter our school system, if you are going to be mad anyone it should be the government for bending to the needs of the illegals in the first place.

i am of course illegal immigration but they do provide jobs and such and i do believe the focus should be on malicious aliens but i have a problem with the new law. It makes it a felony which means jail, and when they enter jail they are no longer working to pay for their own life but are now being paid for by taxes

a simple deportion seems the best answer to me instead of throwing them in jail, honestly our law system is becoming outdated and there are always amendements to it, a new system thats more efficent that kinda like a clean slate for the government to work with

I realize this means a huge amount of work and it will be hard to do due to contradicting opinions everywhere but many systems are out of date, alas i am on a tangent

Illegal imiigrants should apply for green cards, not illegaly imigrate, and maybe the government should make it easier to obtain

also on the language issue i really dont mind it people who speak more than one language generally tend to be more intelligent, i don't speak spanish, but i do speak a little german but i think it would be amazing to walk the halls of my school and hear conversations going on in every language, and I don't mean spanish (i speak some german). Personally i think languages should be taught early on when it is much easier for a child to adapt into this other language and there would be a more bilingual population that would also affect trade and relations with foriegn countries.

I dont like the argument of "we were all immigrant's at one time" So what really. That was when Jobs, room, Land, etc were more plentiful. Oh and people didnt lose their damn minds and fly planes into shit. The immigration period for the united states is over. Should people have the same rights as those who immegrated hundreds of years ago.......nope.
