Wife's doc cancelled yesterday so I dropped her at the hair salon. My docs know if they try that stuff I won't be their patient anymore. It is bad enough sitting with a bunch of sick folks longer than I want to when they run late. I like the cancer center and the way they do things. First come first served unless you need to see the doc. I always have the 8am with him. Same at the lab for bloodwork. Then I go across the street for breakfast!:thumbup

My Doctor has a similar policy.. Most here do..
Most however do not enforce it on long time patients unless you are an abuser..
On the flip side it is pretty rare that they do not give notice without good reason here. I used to have a GP that was also a surgeon and would sometimes be called in for operations. I could get upset if he was skiing or wasting away but these types of things ( operations ) I would want him to be able to do for me when required. So no biggy.. Specialists are often the same way, they are often called to the hospital or scheduled in an operation room that became open.
Rare are those who do not plan properly and are disorganized.. If so move on, I can just imagine how they deal with your file and other health issues.. :24:
