2 feet would be okay because they'd be stuck. I'd worry more about 1/4 inch of ice.
That's the main point, the boys want to see a cold enough winter where it snows LOL. We come from a country that snows in like 10% of places and even then its a 50/50 chance of happening. few ideas from the kids so far... New York, Florida, Dallas......so far that's it

Well hell, if you want snow, you want the Rocky Mountains. Few sights are more beautiful, plus you can learn to ski. Colorado, Utah, etc. I don't know the area really well. I lived in Utah for 18 months but spent most of my time in the high desert. The main thing I looked for was an exit. Cold ain't for me.
Come to Florida! First, we're here. If you want non-touristy, Donnie's family owns an orange grove and I'm sure they'd love to have a pig roast with all the traditional sides. And if you're interested in history, St. Augustine (oldest city in the U.S ) is beautiful and has some really interesting museums. And nice beaches.
we are definitely doing Florida!! I'll keep you guys posted would be great to catch up xx will be definitely doing New York as well and dallas trying to get a map lol a printable one so we can work out where we definitely want to go and places that are "if we have time " kinda thing. It's harder than you think without paying 20 bucks of course. I swear when I was in school maps were like 2bucks lol.
