My cat is about 9 lbs. She is a great huntress, however. She brings many mice and birds thru the cat door into our fine house. Mind you, currently live in a suburb so those birds are, for the most part sparrows.

Occasionally they are alive, which is oh so fun. My two dogs run around and try to get the flying bird, who runs behind the furniture, we run around trying to shoo the bird out the door, open window, etc. Lots of fun at Hart's house! :cool

Last nite she brought in a Pidgeon! Do you know how big pidgeons are? The are big. I don't know how she killed it and how she and the pidgeon managed to get thru the cat door.

So here sleepy Hart stumbles to the bathroom in her nitie to brush her teeth at 6 am and end up screaming bloody murder!:eek There is white/gray feathers, blood, etc all over the rug and bathroom! I'm in my bare feet with my eyes barely open.

My hubby said "I told you Phantom brought in a bird last nite".

"Well why the fuck didn't you take it out!". I tell you, I came this close to getting my gun and shooting both my husband and my cat, getting back into bed and throwing the covers over my head and saying the hell with it"!

What is it going to be like at the property, is Phantom gonna bring in skunks, porcupine, snakes?????!!!!

I also have a proud hunter.... In ours burbs he regularly brings home bunnies, chipmunks, squerials, mice, frogs, small snakes, and the like. He once cornered a baby doe and attacked the cable guy, who called and complained. I have yet to see a skunk though! I do routinely wake up to blood, guts, and bunny fur though so I feel your pain.

OH! Jez, I just thought of that, the neighbors at the property (who are in their nineties) have two bunnies! He wouldn't attack bunnies would he? Okay, I will have to sit him down with bunny pictures slashed and 'splain no hunting bunnies. :hellno

Don't they go for the baby bunnies ?

I would hate to wake up to a dead bunny, or anything for that matter, on my rug.. :24:

Bunnies, moles, mice, chipmunks, birds and snakes all appear on my back porch. It is only when they bring in live snakes that I get pissed. Now my dogs over the years have brought in dead skunks and even a live possum. They left it in the open closet so the wife could piss herself when she turned the light on to dress for work. I was making coffee and heard the most ungodly screaming upstairs. Then she beat on me for laughing at her.:24:

Yup... Anything a little on the slower side... Which also means pregnant bunnies and chimpmunks. If you think its bad waking up to blood and guts, I'll spare you the gory details of bunny fetuses all lined up like throphies :(
