Finding good help is hard on a budget, because part of finding someone who is unbiased and meets your needs involves switching providers and that can be hard. So little is offered in the way of cheap help, but it is out there.
Lots of therapists, life coaches, and counselors offer sliding scale payment. Google these keywords for your area and when you see someone who offers a sliding scale, contact them and tell them you're in need of low cost help. If they don't have cheap enough rates ask them to give you more resources for someone who DOES.
That's part of their job, too, to know where people can go if their practice doesn't meet client needs. Be patient, and keep looking. I found a counselor who took my case pro bono. Counselors have to take a certain percentage of these to stay licensed (depending on the location I guess). Ask.
I think it's good you've recognized the weed might not be the best way to handle it, and to notice things are getting a bit worse in the meantime. Like Darrell said, PM any time.
