My hubby likes Legos. I was trying to get rid of some of the crap we have around the house (sometimes duplicate stuff from 2 households) when I brought the Legos up to donate, Joe got upset and immediately put them downstairs saying they were precious. Okaaaay, now I haven't seen him play with legos since Evan was 7 years old, (He's 16 now) but I guess if he wants to keep them, oh well.

Just do it retro. I've been going nuts thinking about buying a roadrace set but I haven't found one I like. There's something about bringing back good childhood memories that makes a person feel good. I know full well if I buy one the stupid cats won't leave it alone but so what. It will be fun for a little while.
My main problem is that I already splurged this week on an SSD for my computer. Maybe if I get a less expensive, yet challenging set :ninja
I have some friends addicted to legos. I never got into them much especially after stepping on a piece barefoot.
Go on Craigslist in your area. Bet you can buy a pile for cheap.
Look through garage sales, or on Craigslist? Garage sales mostly, though. That's where my mom got a lot of ours growing up, and we've got LOADS left after all the hundreds that have been thrown out, vaccuumed, lost, etc. I love them.
I loved Lego as a kid, I still have my tub of Lego blocks in the garage too :ninja My sister had the girly coloured ones and I had the boyish coloured blocks (there were two different tubs you could buy depending on male/female), I hated the pinks and light blues. I always made houses and a husband and wife and always made them the coolest house. Their bedroom was the only room upstairs like some kind of secret cubby house in a house.
