awesome my old stomping grounds of hard work and a lot of fun fun fun. I loved living there. Best place to just party hard and work to party. 
We aren't going to the Canyon I am not in the mood to hike and get wet LOL.Wow! That sure is a beautiful place. Love that bridge trail too :nod:
Just get a hold of Liam ( esp given toddler characteristics) not to run towards the edge(s) of that wooden bridge as it seems like there's not much barricade to hold him in- IJS.

The walk goes all the way to the ink pots.. it's an 2.5 long walk I think.. Jim has done it but I haven't gone all the way up.

I like being outdoors if I have something to do.. Just being outdoors for the hell of it isn't for me. I think it's cuz I burn so easily I learned to shy away from it.

If you guys have a video/TV in the car for the kids to watch, it'll keep their attention. Of course, you're gonna anticipate more stop overs too given the kids are easily bored with long drives.
We also bought various car games for them or play 'I spy'

It's an hour and half there.. we usually stop about an hour into the drive to do a bathroom break and change Liam.. but usually Liam loves long rides he passes out..
The girls are older 10 and 13 so as long as I crank the tunes we are usually good.....
Hell if it's just Jim, Liam and I will be cranking the tunes cuz once we start to get closer to the foot hills the radio stations don't come in anymore..
