i am so fucking happy to see the 'star trek' bird is back. Fucking geeky name for it, but I can not take credit for it as my husband named it that because of its song. Its a song sparrow:
He comes to nest in my garden every spring and stays all summer to sing his lovely song on and off all day. Right now he is sat at my song bird feeder. I must remember to buy some bugs from the pet shop later today to help these early spring birds through the next few weeks as they ave arrived much to early and our temperature today is -16c and is expected to hit -20's tonight, so these summer birds have little chance.
