Normally, I'd agree.

But his thread starting has become habitual across most of the OTZ web site and I'm not responding to most of his threads.
Mostly, I stick to the debate threads and threads that are debatable/controversial and should be in the debate forum.

I'm not giving him exposure, he's taking it. He is using this web site as his personal political billboard.

But the ignore function will only have a positive effect if most members follow suit or don't read his threads.

Thats the reason I have been having a lot of interaction with him as well.
Its the dishonesty and denial in his posts I find myself constantly having to deal with which causes the bulk of the interaction.

Why should the staff have to tell you who to block? And if the biggest issue here is this c/p artist making too many threads then that's on the rest of you for not writing enough content for yourselves.

First, I didn't ask to be told, I posted I would use the ignore option at their request because I am one of the main debaters of the person of interest.

Second, it is the position of the moderator and administrator/owner to be concerned about the welfare of the web site and may have insights I'm not aware of.

Third, I like to kick the sob's ass in debate to the point it might be destructive to this web site.

The issue is forum flooding by this person of interest,of political and debatable natures in many non debate forums, like this one, disrupting casual discussions.
He is intentionally using the greater part of this web site as a political billboard for anti American propaganda.
If he would focus his political comments to the debate forum, I doubt there would be many complaints.

I choose to be constructive along the wishes of the moderator and owner/administrator.

It is the creation of debate threads in the forum not designed for debate...which has been partially addressed as they do get moved.
The issue is many casual posters dont want the politic and religion threads in the lighter sections of the forums...which I understand.
The debate section then gets filled with with endless threads of c/p design

Do we have many casual posters? I get why people don't like the c/p, personally I would favor banning the guy if he's not writing any original content, but these lightweights should be able to handle topics that could have some actual discussion. I don't see why this place has subforums at all, post everything in the main and we'll look busier.

Perhaps casual posters wasnt the right word..but rather non debate posters..ones that just like a simple discussion.

Where do you draw the line?..we have all copy and pasted..,,but it is generally to support a position.
Other times may be you just found a funny article...buts thats not a debate setting.

Personally, I would have loved to have ban him long ago, but he typically stuck to the debate forum which was loosely moderated. He brings nothing to the site and is nothing but a common troll.

He is persistent ...I can usually wear a troll down in a few days so no need to ban...but this guy is pretty "durable"
Thing is he may not actually understand what trolling is...hell they might all do it...I dont know.
