A place that was lighthearted and fun. I do not come on a message board to debate things that do not affect my daily life. My personal life is contentious enough without coming here for more. JMHO.

I don't disagree with you, but inevitably that needs to be addressed with the guilty parties.

edit: I see 10 on this page at the moment that are obvious debate threads.

I try not to be a ham handed moderator. Nothing ruins a board faster than too much moderating.

I think censorship can have issues of 'highhandedness', but do you think just moving a thread to a more appropriate forum stifles discussion/debate?

Not in my opinion. I just get tired of having to move threads.

I personally don't miss the old board where the majority of members purposely left and started their own forum, which led to the demise of this one. Also, the old forum was just full of the women posting their body parts. Can anyone say...please give me attention and tell me how beautiful I am? I say good riddance. However, I do also think there are too many debate threads here now. But, there are also far too few members.
