Matt becomes an absolutely mean driver upon entering Toronto.

He drives nice and polite at home. He waves pedestrians on and kindly follows traffic rules and doesn't swear or bitch when someone cuts him off, just accepts that he's not hurt and moves on.

Upon entering Toronto (the city where he learned to drive), he reverts back to City Driving Behavior, and becomes a complete bitch. He starts flipping people off, not slowing down for pedestrians, weaving through traffic, opening the window to yell at jaywalkers... It's insane!

He's not much better outside the car, either. Pedestrians are obnoxious in Toronto (and in most cities). He gets that sort of "cars have brakes, they'll use them" attitude.

I don't know about him, but I have a healthy fear of large vehicles that have the potential to kill me.

No offense, but isn't that a bit contradicting? Using something like, "Cars have breaks, they'll use them" as a pedestrian, but then bitching at a pedestrian for not moving in the car?

My brother has bad road rage XD He gets pissed very easily. It's rediculous though how out here nobody will stop at an intersection to let you pull into a parking lot.

I just find it hilarious, because Matt is the nicest driver ever, until you hit the Gardiner Expressway, and then he's a bitch.

Yeah, Matt you're a hypocrite if you wander out in front of cars expecting them to stop, but then you try running down pedestrians.

I always stop for peds... and I've only almost been hit once because some careless biatch didn't stop for me while I was wandering out of Meijer.

Oh, he'll stop for the pedestrian if he has to. He'd just rather dodge around them, I guess?

I love Toronto (it has my art-school heart), but it's really... I'm not sure how to describe it. It's a grid-city: narrow one-way streets, and everyone owns a boutique or restaurant and lives above it, and the buildings are all ancient ornate masterpieces, but all you can see at eye-level is grungy brick and moving cars. It makes everyone feel rushed and urgent.

what'd you expect from a city established in 1834?

a worthless post and useless fact

Not really, considering he'd mentioned the part I bolded. A city established and laid out in 1834 isn't going to have ultrawide 9 lane roads. Even for a city of Torontos' size.

What's even more worthless is your post, which added nothing to any single topic in the subject matter of the thread, at all. ;)

I understand how matt is. When I drive in manhattan I hate when pedestrians walk in front of my car, yet when I'm walking I expect the other cars to stop around me. I don't know why i'm like that.

well, pedestrians should have the right of way, in most situations. yet, cars are more lethal than people, so, they should be regarded with caution.

or something like that..
